Instagram will also use this feedback and others alerts, including post age and previous account behavior, for
determining whether the record requires verification by third-party experts.
To report fake content, you need to click on the menu in as three dots in the upper right corner of the entry, select “Report inappropriate material, ”and then“ False information. ”
In the Russian version of the service, a new item has not yet appeared:
If it turns out that the post really contains untruthful information, it will not be deleted, but will be lowered in the “Search and interesting” section and on the pages with hashtags. At the same time, the author of the record will not know that his content is being checked, and what decision will ultimately be made by the fact checker.
The same organizations that check content on Facebook will check posts on Instagram.
