Google has updated its video content markup requirements. This was reported by an employee of the company Lizzy Harvey on Twitter.
So, now Google recommends using the interactionStatistic property instead of interactionCount. For some time, the search engine will support both properties, but interactionStatistic is now recommended.
This change is so far reflected only in English version video content markup guides.
AT Russian language document recommended properties still include interactionCount – i.e. This version of the manual has not yet been updated by Google.
Recall that earlier this month, Google added video reports to the Search Console and began to alert sites about errors in video content markup.
