Google began to display reviews in the form of a scrollable carousel on local business panels in search results.
These carousels are shown if they are relevant to the user’s request, and the company has a sufficient number of quality reviews.
The innovation was noticed by digital marketer Anil Badial. Google has confirmed the update.
The new format allows the user to view more reviews without clicking on the “View all reviews” link.
Moreover, the carousel with reviews is located quite high in profile – under the name of the company and above the contact information, so the user does not need to scroll down to see them.
The update is currently running in English only.
