English users have noticed that Google may be testing search results without URLs on desktop devices.
In this version of SERP, a favicon is displayed at the top of the snippet, and next to it is a “#” symbol and a down arrow.
Google has not yet commented on this information.
Recall that recently, Google tested several innovations in the desktop issue. Among them are endless scrolling in two versions (with a dividing bar and with the “More results” button), a new design for search snippets (with a URL above the heading), and a larger font in the search results.
